Digital Trade Account from mondu

We’re thrilled to announce the launch of our latest payment solution – Digital Trade Account – now available to B2B merchants and marketplaces across Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, and the UK.

Digital Trade Account offers a straightforward and risk-free method for B2B traders and marketplaces to provide trade accounts to their business clientele. The solution enables sellers to offer bespoke purchasing power to customers, enabling them to conveniently conduct multiple purchases during a pre-determined period.

Rather than paying for every separate order and managing numerous invoices, all the orders are merged into a single statement that is paid at the end of the term with net terms. Business customers are empowered to purchase more without the administrative burden of accounts payable, while traders enjoy swift payments from Mondu after each order. Mondu also offers comprehensive protection from payment defaults and complete support in payment recovery and chasing of overdue debts.

Offering a trade account is especially relevant in verticals where replenishing stocks happens frequently, such as Car Parts, Food & Beverage, Construction Materials, and Office Supply.

A win-win for traders and their commercial clients

Digital Trade Account facilitates the process for businesses to gain new clients quickly with immediate, risk-free onboarding backed by Mondu's real-time credit assessments. By giving new and existing customers individual buying power, sellers can increase the frequency of purchases and larger order sizes. The solution also allows traders to reward and incentivise customers with customised purchasing power according to repayment performance.

Merchants can establish payment cycles and conditions that suit their customers’ buying habits and commercial requirements by selecting the interval to close each statement – weekly, fortnightly, or monthly – and choose payment durations such as 5, 15, or 30 days.
