What is Pay Now?

Mondu’s Pay Now is an instant account-to-account (A2A) payment method designed for B2B. Instead of integrating with an A2A payments provider, or dealing with reconciliations when offering prepayment in-house, integrate Mondu and let your business buyers pay directly from their bank account, while being protected from settlement risk.

Pay Now. Or later.
A unified B2B payments experience

Pay Now is available in the same integration as Mondu’s BNPL, allowing you to create a unified payments experience for all buyers’ needs with minimal effort.

Higher conversion

Pay Now is perfect for buyers who don’t want to defer payment, or aren’t eligible for BNPL. More payment options = more conversions.

Lower fees

Pay Now is a fraction of typical credit card fees. No hidden fees. No monthly minimums.

Seamless Integration

Skip a dedicated A2A integration. Add Pay Now to your existing Mondu integration – no extra work. One integration, two payment solutions.

No hassle

Avoid the reconciliation effort that comes with prepayment, and the risks of disputes and chargebacks. Mondu handles risk and fraud checks, provides fast payment confirmation, and manages buyer communication.

FAQ for Merchants

Pay Now is Mondu’s A2A payment solution for secure B2B instant payments. It allows buyers to transfer funds directly from their bank account in order to complete a purchase. The payment is made to Mondu, who confirms it, and informs you, the merchant, so you ship the order. Then, Mondu transfers the money to you.

Mondu receives the money from the buyer and then transfers them to you according to your agreed payout terms. These will be included in the same payout report as your BNPL payouts.

If you already use Mondu via an API integration, Magento, Shopware 5, or Shopware 6, please contact our Customer Success Team at service@mondu.ai to receive the necessary information for a quick start. Users can specify ‘Pay Now’ as the payment method in the create order flow. Additionally, you will have to support the ‘pending state’.

Pay Now is being rolled out through additional ecommerce plugins based on merchant demand.

For now unapproved orders with BNPL are redirected to your checkout, where buyers can choose Mondu’s Pay Now. In the future, Pay Now can be offered immediately as an alternative settlement method without going back to the checkout.

By using Pay Now you’ll be protected from settlement risk and avoid the overhead of payment reconciliation, white benefiting from the upfront payment (according to your payout agreement with Mondu).

Yes, Pay Now supports automated refunds and buyer disputes, integrated into Mondu’s refund process.
