Meet the monduneers
To be totally honest, there was one core reason I felt truly excited to join Mondu. As someone working in the People space – though perhaps an ideal for many people – it was important for me to lead the department of talent development and engagement in a company where I could respect the core values and behaviours of its leaders.
My team’s mission is to ensure that the talents we’ve been successful in hiring can fulfill and expand on their potential, to optimally drive forward the overarching Mondu mission.
There are a number of ways to fulfill the above team mission, and like in any start-up, a million things that should have been worked on ‘yesterday’ already. Many initiatives we work on can take months to come to fruition. So, I tend to get excited by the small stuff. Is this person’s CV better today than when they joined Mondu? It’s incredibly fulfilling to see someone succeeding here. And by success, I mean that they are learning something new.
I’m not sure it’s ‘fun’ but I’m quite handy with car mechanics! When I was younger, I had a 12-year old Renault Clio. To save money, every time it broke down (almost weekly), I’d repair it in my Dad’s garage with the help of a Haynes repair manual!
I was excited by the though of joining a company where actions truly mattered, in other words: a company where individual actions had a disproportionate effect on outcomes. As the company scales and develops, I’ve come to realize that this effect is not solely due to its young age, but rather a deliberate choice made by the people and leadership!
Great colleagues, a great product, autonomy, having an impact. – Nothing beats the feeling of turning a no into a yes, while knowing that our solutions add nothing but value!
Every Sunday I religiously sharpen all of my kitchen knives & if need be my outdoor knives, using traditional Japanese whetstones.
The energy and life of it! Being able to move freely and having the option of doing nearly anything, at any time.
For me, it was the opportunity to be part of a team that was just starting, building things from scratch, and participating in each stage of Mondu’s change.
We have one of the most important missions: to grow Mondu, hire the new Monduneers, and shape the teams that will build the incredible products and projects upcoming.
Meeting new people, talking to different teams, understanding the culture and the needs to find the new Monduneers.

I was most excited about working with a group of talented people who are equally motivated to accomplish great things with the company. Joining Mondu makes me feel like I am part of an exhilarating journey that’s waiting to unfold!
To build a world-class B2B BNPL product that provides an incredible experience to each user in this space.
Translating a vision to a working product is an exciting journey. As a part of developing a product for an early-stage startup like ours involves working on key problems that we are looking to solve for our users. I find this to be the most exciting part of my role!
I have read the Harry Potter series a grand total of 17 times.
Being able to justify impulse purchases! (Buy Now, Think Later 😉
Sunsets in the summer, the laid-back vibe of the city and the amazing beer!
We have a really diverse workforce here and although we are only active in the German market so far, we have people from all over the world. Besides, it was appealing for me to be part of something big right from the start.
Even if it is Sales, it is not Sales for me. It’s more about showing companies that processes can be simplified and that they can get a solution through Mondu that is indispensable in the B2C market. We work together in partnership, because we will only be successful if our partners are.
I don’t have one idol, I think you can take the good from many people and implement it for yourself. So a main part of the family is my role model. My parents, who support me in everything, or my twin sister, who helps people in the social sector and so on.
Of course, to win a new partner and prove to them that our solution is really as good as we say it is.
In my spare time I do male ballet in the carnival club and stand on stages with up to 800 people and don’t take myself seriously.
I can turn my foot completely backwards so that it points in the other direction.
Still living in Frankfurt 😉
My main motivation to join Mondu was the the opportunity to join a business, and a team of very capable and experienced people, at such an early stage. I’m enthusiastic about the product we are making, and from being given the trust to perform autonomously in my area of expertise.
Our mission is to make sure business owners get to know Mondu and to convey to them the message that we can support them in increasing their revenues and customer satisfaction.
