Mondu expands to UK

Today, we’re excited to announce the launch of our B2B BNPL solutions in the UK. The launch comes after rapid growth across Germany and our recent expansion into Austria and the Netherlands last year. To support our entry into the UK market, we’re opening a new office in London and recruiting a talented UK team to drive our operations.

“The time is right for Mondu to launch in the UK. UK B2B commerce is the second largest in Europe, and there’s a real need for BNPL as we’ve seen through a growing demand from UK businesses for our solutions, since our initial launch. Our payment solutions can help both online and offline companies across Britain provide their business customers with a consumer-like, best-in-class payment experience.”

Malte Huffmann, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Mondu

The UK is one of Europe’s most highly digitised markets, with an impressive 83% of British businesses having a website and more than half of companies already making purchases online. 97% of the population are internet users, and 84% of consumers are e-shoppers. The UK B2B e-commerce sector is currently valued at over $200B, with a growing need for B2B Buy Now Pay Later solutions.

From today, Mondu solutions available to UK businesses include:

  • B2B Buy Now Pay Later for e-commerce checkout.
  • B2B Buy Now Pay Later for multichannel sales.

These solutions offer flexible payment options, from payment upon invoice (with payment terms of 30, 45, 60, and 90 days) to installments (over 3, 6, and 12 months).

UK businesses can also take advantage of cross-selling opportunities with customers in Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, and France. The French market is another new addition for us, enabled for buyers only and coinciding with our UK launch.

Mondu’s innovative BNPL solutions provide an unparalleled consumer-like experience for business customers across the UK and beyond, allowing them to purchase and pay on their own terms, while merchants get paid upfront. This translates to higher conversion rates and larger average order values, driving growth for merchants and marketplaces.
