As we bid farewell to 2023, it’s time to pause and reflect on another remarkable year for Mondu. The past year has been a whirlwind of achievements, expansions, and innovations that have propelled us to new heights. We’re incredibly proud to share the highlights of our journey, showcasing the unwavering dedication of our team, the expansion of our service offerings, and our relentless pursuit of innovation in the world of B2B payments.
We launched a bold new brand identity
After lots of hard work, passion, and focus from Mondu’s marketing team, we proudly unveiled our new brand identity to better reflect what we do and how we do it. Our new visual identity brings these ideas to life, reflecting our commitment to innovation and customer-centric solutions that create new business-to-business moments.
We expanded into new markets
After successfully registering with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), we launched into the UK and began working with 16 British clients immediately. We opened a new office in London and recruited a talented team to drive our operations and provide hands-on support to our customers.
We also made Mondu available to buyers in France and Belgium, opening up new possibilities for our merchant and marketplace clients to offer flexible payment terms and popular B2B payment methods to their French and Belgian business customers across every sales channel.
We launched world-class B2B BNPL products
It was a busy year on the product development front. Building on the success of our 6-month installment offering launched last year, we expanded our installment options to include 3, 6, and 12-month plans, providing even greater flexibility for businesses.
Digital Trade Account was another significant addition to our product lineup. This innovative solution provides a simple way for buyers to consolidate their purchases throughout the month into one statement and pay it later with net terms. Merchants get paid after each order, which helps both sellers and buyers thrive and build their businesses safely.
Acknowledging the predominant offline nature of B2B sales, we also took a proactive approach to broaden the functionality of our products. Our products now work in offline settings, including telesales and field sales, ensuring our merchants can seamlessly provide their customers with the best BNPL options regardless of the sales channel.
We welcomed new customers & expanded our partnership network
As we embarked on 2023, we set our sights on achieving ambitious growth targets, and our ambition paid off. We partnered with companies from diverse sectors, including the machinery, electronics, agriculture, and packaging industries. Some of Europe and the UK’s foremost companies, such as German online retailer notebooksbilliger (NBB), Dutch wholesale marketplace Orderchamp, and PCSpecialist, a distinguished technology provider in the UK.
We also joined forces with leading payment and commerce providers, including Acquired.com, Mangopay, and Spryker, to offer flexible payments to more European businesses. Additionally, we proudly attained gold partner status with Shopware, further solidifying our commitment to delivering exceptional services within the e-commerce ecosystem.
We presented at Europe’s most prestigious events
Mondu attended, sponsored, and presented at numerous events throughout the year, including DMEXCO and K5 in Germany, IRX and eCommerce Expo in the UK, and Shopping Today in the Netherlands. Our team was honored to share the stage with some of our esteemed customers, including ChefsList, EFARM, NBB, and Orderchamp. A particularly memorable moment was our appearance at DMEXCO, where the COO of NBB, one of Germany’s largest online retailers, shared his satisfaction with Mondu’s solution:
